One of the major deterrents of effluent treatment in ETP is the increased expense associated with disposal of its by-products like sludge. Albeit the fact that waste water treatment plants (WWTP) function to reduce the bulk volume of sludge produced, curtailing the generated sludge volume during the initial stages of this process can confer several benefits to ETP plant. Anaerobic treatment of wastewater can empower one to reduce organic matter and generate biogas. Anaerobic treatment is an intricate biosynthetic process involving the hydrolysis of lipids, cellulose and proteins. A consortia of beneficial and facultative microbes in the system ensures that the residual, hydrolyzed organic matter is converted into fatty acids. Finally, anaerobic microbes dominate the biosynthetic pathway, digesting these fatty acids and releasing methane as a by-product.

However, anaerobic digestion of organic matter is a time-consuming process and is highly susceptible to variations in external environmental conditions. The microbes also function in a very stringent range of pH. Thus, an improper balance of acid-producing strains in the reactor can hinder the process. All these factors reinstate the need of incorporating a perfect blend of robust and specific microbes which function in synergy to carry out effective anaerobic bio-degradation.

Initially we used cow dung in anaerobic reactors as a source of microbes. However, the microbes in cow dung were incompetent at degrading the diverse waste water constituents. CleanMaxx ANB had facilitated the complete degradation of organic pollutants. A marked reduction in the COD and BOD levels of treated water was observed.

  • How does Bioclean ANB work?
    Bioclean ANB’s mode of action essentially comprises of two major steps. Initial step involves the breakdown of complex compounds in to volatile acids. These volatile acids are further degraded to form methane and carbon dioxide.

  • Are the bacteria present in Bioclean ANB genetically modified?
    The microbes present in Bioclean ANB are not genetically modified in any way. These are natural isolates, which are specially selected for their desirable traits.

  • Is Bioclean ANB safe?
    Microbes present in Bioclean ANB are GRAS organisms (Generally Recognised As Safe). These are completely secure without any pathogenicity towards humands, animals and plants.

  • What type of pollutants can be treated by using Bioclean ANB?
    Major portion of all man made and natural contaminants can be effectively degraded by Bioclean ANB.

    Bioclean ANB is highly effective at controlling odour. Formation of hydrogen sulphide gas leads to odour generation. Bioclean ANB contains special strains that do not cause putrefaction during the degradation pathway and converts most of the organic matter to its end stage i.e. methane and carbon dioxide.

  • What is the dosage of Bioclean ANB??
    Dosage of Bioclean ANB is highly dependent on parameters like pollution level, flow, design etc. Generally, the dosage varies from 0.1 ppm to 3 ppm depending upon the conditions in WWTP.

  • Is Bioclean ANB a powder or liquid?
    The formulation of Bioclean ANB is in powder form. Microbes in Bioclean ANB are micro-encapsulated. This confers the virtue of extended shelf life to the product.
